Every booking on Unaffiliate is backed by our Safety Shield, which includes:
- Booking Protection – Clear refund and cancellation rights if plans change.
- Insurance Support – Hosts must maintain valid Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for eligible events; Guests benefit from safer, insured environments.
- Crisis Response – 24/7 escalation protocols if something goes wrong, with clear incident handling procedures.
2. Accessibility & Inclusion
- Hosts are required to disclose accessibility features (ramps, restrooms, parking).
- Guests can filter listings by accessibility needs.
- Unaffiliate follows ADA guidelines where applicable and encourages inclusive practices for all event types.
3. Your Role as a Guest
- Respect House Rules – Follow the Host’s posted policies for the property or event.
- No Harassment or Abuse – Zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior.
- Keep IDs Handy – Hosts or security may request government-issued identification.
- Report Issues Promptly – If you encounter unsafe conditions, report them immediately via the app or help center.
4. Health & Safety at Events
- Follow Local Laws – Alcohol, food, and regulated activities must comply with state and city rules.
- Emergency Preparedness – Know the exits, emergency contacts, and first aid availability.
- Wellness-Friendly – Unaffiliate prohibits unsafe or unlicensed beauty, wellness, or fitness practices on-site.
5. Emergency Escalation
If an incident occurs:
- Use in-app reporting or contact our Safety Hotline.
- Our Crisis Team will categorize the issue (low, medium, high severity) and respond within the set timeframe.
- Guests may also contact local emergency services directly.
6. Trust & Transparency
- Verified Hosts & Freelancers – Many providers complete background checks and licensing verification.
- Clear Reviews – Honest reviews from other Guests help you choose safe, reliable spaces.
- Accountability – Repeated violations by Guests or Hosts result in suspension or permanent removal.
